I just wanted to say an early Merry Christmas to you lovely people on the adoption boards. as DS and my mum and I are going away on holiday in teh morning (if I ever get packed)

You are without doubt the toughest and most hard-bitten quirky old bags it's been my privilege to know. You get me like no-one else does and you have unknowingly saved my sanity on a few occasions. You put up with me being an old grouch and humour my gushing about my marvelous DS from time to time.

I wouldn't have you any other way.

I saw a great Facebook "poster" (yeah yeah I know but it didn't have fluffy kittens)

*When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "ME TOO", be sure to cherish them.

And Merry Christmas to all you hard-bitten quirkers - hope all went well. I'll admit to having been apprehensive about how dd2 would cope with the excitement of Christmas, but actually we've had fewer outbursts than usual, certainly less aggression, and both children have behaved rather beautifully. I'm really enjoying spending time with them.

And post-adoption services have agreed to do another assessment. Yay.
