There is some clarification coming out today / tomorrow regarding Re-B-S I think. Martin Narey has written a piece for The Times (which will be published tomorrow) and has described it as "a very significant case which reasserts the case for adoption".
Hopefully this will give those of us waiting for AO's a boost after the more depressing cases recently...

Thanks Trafficjam our adoption is through but I'm still following all the developments with interest. Found this Telegraph article and if you do a search for Re B-S quite a few articles up today already as The Times is behind a pay wall. Very interesting reading.
