Presents from BPs

Hi

Last day of intros and best day together so far. Currently enjoying a cuppa whilst he naps. When I drop him back at FC's later I'm picking up the rest of his things which includes a memory box and toys from his BPs. Mostly these are cuddly toys - in quite lurid colours (definitely not my or FC's taste!). These have just been put away and he has never had them to play with.

My question is should I do likewise or should he have one or more of them now? He's 18 months old.

I don;t think I slept at all the first night I had DS with me (though it was in a hotel)

Well done on getting through the first night! The sleep gets better I won't tell you how long it took us though!

I have an 18 month old...he loves bright lurid cuddly toys, think what you win on a fairground when you hook a duck or bag or something but uglier! I would put them on the carpet and let him gravitate towards one for Xmas. Then put the rest away until you need a huge distraction one screamy day or until next year/birthday etc or take a photo of him with them all for the box.

Our girls are much older and get their toys down from the shelf if they are thinking about BP. We have been clear that BP gave them teddy A and B etc. just as they know Grandad gave them dolly etc.

Hopefully, I'm not too far behind you - We have matching panel tomorrow and the transition planning meeting as well (randomly, we have this BEFORE panel to ensure everyone can make it).
