a gay couple I know are thinking about surrogacy -are you really up for it? it's an amazing act of generosity.

i have 3 children of my own and they are my world, i can,t imagine how it must feel not to be able to experiance it. i always joked that i would do it for my sister and brother if they were unable to have children but they are both blessed with them and i have recentley been thinking more and more about it, i feel strongly about it and would like to help someone who otherwise would never have the chances ive had.:0

Are you sure? I once thought I would like to do that. Was going to do it for my sister. Now glad I didn't as we have falled out big style and not spoken for 3 years. Am now soooo glad I didn't.

themoon666 · 14/10/2006 21:28

fallen not falled... dur.

I would recommend COTS too. They are very thorough, well established and have an excellent support website.

Best of luck, I have a son via surrogacy and can't tell you the joy he brings me. I take my hat off to all surrogates for what they do.

Can I ask anyone who has had a surrogate/is a surrogate, what sort of costs are involved. I cant have anymore children but still have my ovaries. Would we have to do egg collection then ivf of embryos?

Thanks,
