Ok my oldest made huge steps today! If you knew him you would know it takes him a few hours to talk to anyone he doesn't know. We did something different today and went out for dinner. Our table ran out of ketchup and he asked if he could talk to the waiter. He left the table, went over to the waiter (in our eye view) and said- his exact words 'Excuse me, may I have some more ketchup please?' Given the ketchup and he then said 'Thank you very much!'. From a child who would never say boo to a goose and usually shuts down until he knows the goose is safe...This is a massive huge step...I am sure diners around my husband and I thought we were mad when we had tears in our eyes and gave him a high five!
