Has anyone read this to their little ones? If so how old are they were they?
How did they find it?

I have bought a few books for DS (home a year next month!!! :O) We've read 'the feelings' books etc a number of times and he enjoys these. So I thought I'd buy some adoption related books.

I am not even sure if we've left this late or it's still too early?! The reason I didn't get any sooner is because we are currently going through the adoption process, but as far as DS is concerned we are forever so it will make no difference to him what a piece of paper says.

He is 5.

thanks all!

I never read adoption to DS because they pretty much all make me cry. It's never been a big issue for us as we talk about it a lot. I don't think 5 is too old btw if he likes the story.

I have it and dd 2.6 loves it..... It did make me cry at first so I had to read it on my own to get through that first.... The suggestions book about expanding on the subjects covered is very good regarding age appropriate increasing conversations..... Buy it Smile

I read this when we were going through approval but both DCs won't remember not being with us so I'm not sure if it would confuse them. I liked it though.

We read this. Ours did like the story and were similar ages to your lo. I think it helped put things in perspective.
