How long do the legalities take?

I just wanted to get a view in how long it's likely to take, and what others experience had been.

My LA have lodged the papers with court this week, how many months did it take until you went to court and then how long until the celebration hearing?

From submission to AO being granted 5 months with Christmas inbetween... celebration hearing was 3 weeks after that.

I think all courts are different though.

About 4 months here.

Around three months, but we weren't offered any kind of celebration hearing. We did ask a policeman to take our picture on the way out Smile

Smile thanks for responding... So I'm thinking it's a bit like 'how long is a piece of string' Wink

About 3 months for my birth son. March to June. No major holidays in between though n the paperwork was submitted and adoption order was granted

4 months here. Far too long in my opinion and we had to continually chase the court to make sure they sent out the correct paperwork,
