Fostering with no spare room

Just a query really. Not looking to do it right now. But wondered if you could foster babies if you do not have a spare room. I live in a 3 bed property with bd 8 and as 2.

There is more than enough room in my bedroom to fit a cot and clothes etc.

But is it allowed?

I doubt it but worth a call to your la. When we were starting our application this was one of the things they checked & wouldn't allow you to proceed without a spare room. I guess whilst a baby might share you need to consider what happens if the placement lasts 6mths+ as they won't want to move LO just because you haven't got the space.

Yes you can. I know a fc who only fosters babies and they are in a cot in her room. She has DC and no spare room
