Pictures on a social media site

Hi firstly sorry if this is inappropriate in any way I have been thinking about this for a few days before posting.

Somebody who I went to school with has pictures on Facebook of a child who is no longer in their care. The child is now older than they are in the pictures so I don't know how recognisable they would be.

They have changed their name slightly (I clicked on the profile as it was suggested to me as a 'friend' and didn't initially recognise the name). I am wondering of this is an attempt to hide themselves from certain people.

I guess I am wondering if there if there is anything I should do or can do? Or if I should just keep my nose out? I was just worried of anybody recognised the child now and any possible disruption to their life that could occur as a result.

The matter of people's photos being put on FB without their knowledge or permission is one that bugs me, and especially photos of children when the children are not their own.

In this case, it seems you know the child and you know the adult, and you are reasonably sure the child did not give permission to have their photo on FB in association with this particular adult? Do you have any reason to believe the child would object if he or she knew there was a photo associating them with this adult?

I don't know how the adult could be using the photo to hide, but changing a name slightly might be done with this in mind. The best way to hide would be to have a private profile, a FB account with no photos at all, or better still not to go on FB.
