Is anyone up? DD missing

She stormed out hours ago after a row, without her phone, not come back. She's never stayed out this long before and she's vulnerable

Police have been and left now
She's not with her friends
Not with her birth mum (I had to check but I feel guilty for making her worry, she's texting me every 10 minutes to check if DD's back yet)

Sad Can you hold my hand a bit?

Lilka, thinking of you this morning.

Lilka · 10/06/2014 08:26

Thank you all Thanks

I'm bloody tired now!! Yes she was safe. She'd gone and walked far enough after a few hours that she'd got herself lost, so she was wandering around for a couple of hours after that, got into a right state.

And then of course I didn't sleep well, whereas she's snug and snoring!!

So sorry I missed this - I too just knew it was you before I clicked. Does it make you feel better that you are some kind of adoption celebrity? Smile

Glad she's back and sorry you had such a worrying night.

Thanks everyone

Kew, I have to say, if I'm going to be well recognised for something on these boards, I would much rather it be for my advice, or support, or heck just my radiant beauty Wink rather than "that one who's threads can be immediately recognised by their depressing nature"...so yeah not really making me feel much better (but do carry on seeing me as a celebrity anyway) Wink Grin

I'm absolutely knackered. Unsurprisingly, because last night wasn't a good experience for her either (had to deal with policemen as well as panicking because she was lost in the dark), we've had fallout today. She spent a few hours following me around and standing/sitting next to me, making sure she was doing what I was doing, whilst being very controlling and/or annoying about it. Controlling behaviour is so wearying.

Right, I need something positive to sign off with. 9 month old DGD (who is very very gorgeous btw!) has just started to stand without support for a little bit. It's so lovely watching her grow. Both of them actually. It was an odd day, the day that older GD reached the exact age DS was when he moved in. That was it, I'd had close up experience (even if not parenting, I see them several times a week often) of children right from birth to adulthood!
