'our pages' - Life story work

Hi all again!

We're busy putting together our DS's life story book, and in that we need to put some pages together about the two of us. This is to include photos of us, decorated how we like, with any info we would like to put in about ourselves. Has anyone done this/has examples on what they put?

How much/little did you write?
What kind of things did you write about
How was this decorated
Was it a page each for say you and a partner? or a shared page?
Should it include a picture of just me, or me and DS?

Any tips at all would be much appreciated :)

Ooooh me to. Can I add a question? If you have BCs did anyone do something similar for them? Could see it being a potential jealous-making thing otherwise?

Our life story book was done by a SW and is pretty appalling. We have purchased one following a recent thread on here. Should be arriving soon. They link to page list everything in their memory book! to give you a guide :)

Thank you Rhinos I will look at this soon, I did think the one on another thread was fab. Like you our SW is doing the majority of it, but were working on some of it together with DS & doing the sections about ourselves. I do hope it is good once it's complete based on threads I've seen recently!

we've not been asked to do anything in ours... although I have had to chase it up... we've still not received it 2 months after the AO which I know is nothing (based on some peoples experience) but according to PASW we should have had it by now....

Its a valuable tool that we want to start using.. .she's just the right age...

I have visions of sending it back full of red marks and crosses Sad

We were told in advance that the SW received lots of compliments about her wonderful life story books. My reaction upon receiving it was "Seriously?? Shock ". It was dire. Photocopied faded sheets, missing photos, wrong dates, names and information.

Having waited a year for it, I knew that going back to them would achieve nothing.
