As most of you know, we adopted 2 brothers nearly 3 years ago. They have always been close, but I wanted to share something poignant that my youngest said last night.

I said to them both that tomorrow (now today) I am going to talk to some men and ladies who are hoping to adopt other boys and girls soon (I am talking on prep training), and is there anything they felt was really important for me to tell them. My youngest thinks about 2 milliseconds and says "tell them I love brotherrudolph very much". This was completely unprompted. It was a lovely thing to say, but made me realise that after 3 years, he still considers his brother that important that I should tell strangers about it!!

Does anyone else have any fantastic sibling stories to share? To reiterate my faith in keeping sibs together :)

Myfeet, that's funny :) Our boys fight like cat and dog sometimes, it's not all roses! In fact the other day, the oldest commented how nice it would be if his brother were to live in a caravan at the bottom of the garden instead of in the house!!

Disclaimer, we have no caravan, dunno where the idea came from.

I have a birth dd and an adopted dd, so can't affirm your faith in keeping sibs together (though I agree with you Smile, but my two are lovely together. They scrap and bicker, but they are fiercely loyal to each other. dd1 told me that getting dd2 was the best thing that ever happened to her, and that she has the cutest sister in the world.

My 2 are full siblings (10 and 6), my ds's view is very simple when talking about his sister - 'we needed each other, we still do'. His sister's view is equally simple, 'he's a pain, but he's my pain'.
