I saw this was coming up on Twitter and the person quoted seems to have quite a lot of knowledge of abuse/neglect. Not sure if it's only her (she's called Corinne May-Chahal) or other speakers too.

Oh gawd. Please no John Hemming. Please God

Thanks though Smile I'll give it a listen, hopefully there's be some balance

I put the web player on in my office but the segment was towards the end and someone came in to speak to me. I'll have to listen on Listen Again now.

Well I was pleasantly surprised, it was a good segment. We heard from one mother who 'fled the country' because she wanted to be given another chance with her 7th child to prove that this time she could do it, and then we heard from Corinne May-Chahal and someone else, who had a lot of great stuff to say about putting in support for women who are facing losing their children, to avoid a situation where you have 7, 10, 12 children all taken into care one following the other, and the lack of support there is at the moment after the children are taken away and adopted.

It's worth a listen folks :)

Too short! Bit frustrating that they seemed to have so little time to cover this topic. Not sure how others feel but I was not the least bit interested in what people on twitter were saying about the item!

I also felt they seemed to gloss over the reproductive choices bit, as if the lady had got pregnant the last time by accident, which she may have, but may well not have. It was a much bigger issue and was just so glossed over. Why get those specialist in and only talk to them for a few minutes!
