we are page 88 of January Psychologies magazine. My hair looks terrible, DS looks divine. So all normal then!

What we're doing for those poor little children is just wonderful, you know. We are Very Special People.

But btw, it is a long long time since I read an article on 'the new family' and it DIDN'T feature lesbian/gay parents. Have we become the new normal?! About ten years ago they dropped featuring interracial couples in the same features. Aren't I exotic and interesting anymore? Do I have to go all the way to Kyrgyzstan to qualify?! [huffs off stage left]

I told a friend the other day, who was trying to persuade me to get e rescue dog rather than a puppy, "I've already rescued one dog and three children!!" Fortunately she saw the funny side.
