Toddler Groups on a Saturday

Hi all,
Probably the wrong page to post on but .... Does anyone know of any toddler groups in the Billingdon /uxbridge /Ruislip area or is interested in starting one ....? I work all week and though my dd does socialise with other children at nursery I feel that I miss out on the mother daughter interaction plus meeting other mums . Dh often does shifts as well on a Saturday ... Anyone. ? Thanks

There is a Local Talk section on mumsnet, you may get more joy there. Good luck.

Have you thought about asking some of the kids from the nursery, and their mums, if they'd like to meet up for coffee and a chat on a Saturday morning? this could either be at a cafe, or take it in turns to host at someone's house. Or it could be a walk to the park etc. I'd bet most of the mums are working if kids are in nursery, and that a lot of them would love to meet up regularly to compare notes

Our local library does 'dad's rhymetime' on Saturdays. It tends to be about half dads, the other half whoever wants to go. We used to meet up with other people we knew at the library and after rhymetime move on to a coffeeshop. Maybe check what your local libraries offer?

Our local surestart centres also offered Saturday activities, mainly aimed at dads, don't know who actually went as we never did.

Thanks all , I have thought about approaching the nursery mums but they all seem so intimidating ... Maybe it s an option .... I think I may start up am informal group myself and post on the other board ... If anyone s interested in joining let me know ....x
