I'm a foster carer who has a sibling group with me. The baby will be presented for adoption over the next few months. Has anyone had experience of adopting a baby after the sibling group has been split? Did you stay in touch with the family? I'm looking for information, to prepare the other children.

Sorry no, can't their social worker point you in the right direction?

We adopted Ds1 and he was split from his older siblings.
They live fairly close to us and we see them about 10 times a year. This was organised between ourselves as the SW's didnt think it was a good idea for contact....ermmmmm they are a family and they know of each other....after we are dead and gone they will need their family for support etc!
The two older children adore both my DS's and as my two are getting older their relationship is getting stronger with their siblings.
