Sorry haven't been reading much - busy in work.

The wait is driving me mad - its the uncertainty of it all. I'm waiting for my papers to be sent to kazakhstan by the Embassy but they've had them for about 3 months and keep telling me it will be "soon". Hopefully will be about three months to travel from when my papers arrive in Kaz.

I've been thinking a lot about post adoption depression recently - did anybody else get it, or know someone who did? How did you/they handle it?

We're waiting for a child to be found for us, we have two birth children already and are looking for a child between 4 and 7. I can understand the concerns about depression.
I had a lovely meeting with MamatoHoney last week and I said that I've been giving a lot of thought to that first night that the child is here in their new home, then the morning after the first night etc. The whole settling in period scares me (if thats the right word)

Hi there!! it's lisa h. I jumped in :0 We have recently put an initial enquiry form inot ss but got a call from them yesterday saying they are very short staffed and it'll be beginning of August before they can contact us to take things any further. I was wondering about maybe going to a non council agency. Think I'll start a thread to see if anyone has any advice on this.
