I read that when it came out. Couldn't even get on the website at first, so many people went to read it their site crashed twice. So very moving. I cried.

It's very powerful. It's a great adoption story. It's also a very clear demonstration of the appalling effect neglect can have on a person. There's still a belief frequently held by people, that neglect is not (ever) as bad as physical and sexual abuse, and that neglect is not as 'damaging' as physical and sexual abuse. It just isn't true
