Hello all , after nearly 10 months of having our dd with us ( we were a test case for our la on concurrent planning ) today was the day we received our adoption order so she s finally ours .... Such a relief that the process is over . All willing , how's things with u. All the best to the newbies on her starting the journey . It really is the best thing we ever did ....

Thanks all , I count myself lucky that we got what we had hoped for ( a baby)
All willing , how are things your end ? Yes you r right no more social workers .... Do u know when I went back to work I had to convince them that nursery was a good thing for her .... It's little things like not having to ask permission from them that will really make a difference

Huge congratulations, It is the best feeling in the world to have them as offically yours Grin
I have to say though that i did feel a bit lost without people (ss!) popping in and out of our lives. Takes a while to get used to the fact that you are allowed to make decisions for you own child!

Hi thank you for all of your kind words .... As I've said I'd definetly recommend it to anyone , we probably had one of the most awful experiences post placement order and felt really duped by the la but it was definetly worth the risk......

It really is the end now . Yesterday was the pronouncement hearing . We all went to the court where the magistrate announced formally that she was ours and presented us with a certificate and we had photos . All then followed up by a lovely celebratory lunch
Lovely day.....
