My eldest has started primary, and I feel like I have lost a little bit of him already :( We haven't had him 5mins (well 18months but it feels 5mins), and he is already at school.

Silly, I know, but I am sad about it today!! Help me fellow adoptive mummies, I want my baby back!!!

Awww I'm not there yet but wanted to offer some support! I bet the time has flown!

Just think how happy he is going to be when he comes home to see you and tell you all about his day....then you can share in it all with him!

I'm sure he'll always be your baby

You are right, he will always be my baby. I hadn't thought of it like that :)

The time has flown, I look back at photo's of him when we first got him and he looks so tiny :)

It was hard the first time I sent my DS to reception. 18 months can go by in the blink of an eye (I had DS for 2 1/2 years before school). How can they grow so quickly?!

But he's just started Y3 now...and I was counting down the days to the end of summer Blush (okay, that was largely because of DD2 not DS but nevertheless I am loving the complete peace and quiet now!!!) Grin

I feel your pain.
I love the holidays and it is a wrench when they go back to school. My children change when they are at school, and I feel I don't have the real them for a big part of the year.
DD3 has started back into Year one and is going to find it such a struggle.
Make the most of the time you have with them after school and at weekends.
