MADE CONTACT WITH MEMBERS OF MY BIRTH FAMILY!!!

I wanted to ask if anyone had any experiences with getting in contact with their birth family members. 5 days ago I sent a letter to my birth aunt in the hope that they would have information about my birth mother. My cousin sent me an email the next day and since then I have been in contact by email with an uncle. I am over the moon about this, but would love to call them and meet up with them and I am unsure whether its healthy to do this quickly. What to do??!!

I don't have anyone guiding me through this - just started it by myself!!
I don't have any expectations but the emails etc are lovely and I would really like to take it furthur but am scared/nervous/excited all in one!!

Please go and have a look at the forum on AfterAdoption, there are some lovely people on there, a lot of them have a wealth of experience in reunions and you will get some fantastic help and support.
I would try to take it slowly, these are strangers after all.Get a feel for them and their lives before you invite them into your life. I have been through reunion (more than once) and it is very exciting and scary and your emotions can run away with you. It could turn out fantastically but do please protect yourself, both physically and emotionally. Good luck and I hope it is all you want it to be.
