She started having contractions a few hour ago. Still in early labour, and will go into hospital tomorrow morning or early afternoon

Please wish her as easy a birth as possible and a healthy baby

I have my phone on loud, and off to try and get some sleep now (I might be too excited to manage though!!). She wants me there as well as SIL when baby is born, so I don't know how much sleep I'll get tomorrow night (though hopefully it won't last that long)

At the hospital now. Baby not born yet, but nothing wrong, just taking a rather long time

SIL is apparently more squeamish than he thought, he can't even cope with another woman moaning and screaming, let alone DD. I might wind up being the only birthing partner at this rate grow some balls you useless husband !!

DD is coping well though, hopefully it will be over soon

my beautiful granddaughter was born at about half past one this morning. 2 weeks 3 days early, weighing 6lb 5oz. She is healthy and just perfect :)

I got home this morning and just slept. My friend looked after DD2 and DS and got them off to school. Apparently DD2 was off the wall with excitement last night

DGD (so lovely to type that!) has a healthy set of lungs on her that's for sure Don't envy DD the late nights! SIL got the joy of first nappy change though. Hopefully they'll be home soon :)

I'd love to know the name. Babies bring such happiness to everyone around them (between the hours of 7am and 10pm)

Not really . Ah yes, the late nights... I would love, in theory, to have a new baby in the family but every time I think of the sleep deprivation I KNOW I'm done. Still, your dd is young and strong and made of sterner stuff than me

Hooray, I got the PM. Lovely name, lovely that she's named after her granny .

I can't quite get my head round Lilka being a granny, but I suppose I'll get used to it. As will she
