Heads up - the Avengers

Not an adopter myself but just thought it may be useful for you to know that in the new Avengers film there is a nasty adoption related joke. I haven't seen the film myself but ds saw it last night and said the baddy is the brother of the hero. The baddy's evilness is explained away in a joke 'Oh he's adopted'.

Ds thought it was very funny so after reading all your posts on here be assured I put him straight.

I can understand people making a throw away joke without thinking but getting it through numerous script-writers, director producer actors and post production people without someone saying it might not be the ideal joke for a film appealing to children.

America is generally much more pro-adoption than the UK, I'm surprised it made it into the final cut.

Maybe it doesn't sound so bad in the context of the film.

Oh that is Loki isn't it - an Ice Giant baby taken by Odin during battle.
