For some reason, I just started laughing so hard when she shouted that...she got even more angry She's calmed down now, but I thought I'd share!

My Dd said something similar the other day.

I told her that my job is to be her mum and to love her and that I will do both those things always.

She might not like it, but she doesn't get to choose!

Ah yes, dd1 has several times told me, "I don't love you and I don't want you to be my mum anymore". dd2 then runs and grabs me round the knees, screaming, "MY mummy!" (I don't know if this is an over-enthusiastic attempt to gain territorial advantage from the situation, or panic at the concept of losing a mother).

dd1 (6) is such a teenager already, I dread to think what will be going on in another 8 years...

My dc always tell my dh that if he doesn't behave they will go on "gooddaddy.com" and find a replacement for him

4 year old dd latest is that I make everything smell because I stink. I am not allowed to cuddle her or go in her bedroom cos I'm smelly.
Fortunately we have thick skins isn't it.
Going off track here, we had a TAC meeting yesterday for her, no one from post adoption support turned up, although they told me they would. Should I ring them?

I would ring. How annoying, I hate it when people don't even bother to call and say 'I'm really sorry I can't make it"

And yes it's far from the worst she's ever said! I'm sorry, it's really hard when they say (and do) things like your DD is. I vividly remember DD2 in the playground loudly proclaiming to all how terrible a mum I was, including lots of 4 letter expletives.... sadly most of the other mums heard every word, and believed it as well...

My 2 yro woke last night and over the monitor called her Daddy as she sounded so sleepy I said he should wait a minute to see would she settle as she was not crying or upset, after a minute of no Daddy appearing we hear Mummy, mummy so as she never calls me I think it must be important and hop out of bed I reach the door when we hear her say Mummy Mummy get my Daddy, wake my Daddy, needless to say Daddy was booted out of bed and I got back in. Still I will have a cuddly 7 mo next Monday and I will make him all mine none of this Daddy crap from him

I think thats good Lilka (I'm sure you know what I mean). DS would be terrified to tell me that he hated me and he didn't want me to be his mum anymore. He is still insecure about it which makes me very sad for him.

I do sometimes tell him that it doesn't what he does or says I will always be his mum and I will always love him. But wants to know what if he murders Nanny! Tricky one!

Kew - she's NEVER been afraid to say out loud that she 'hates' me, you're a , go away etc etc! I think she has the opposite reaction to your DS. He seems more like my DS - clingy and afraid of seperation, and won't do anything which he percieves would result in it, because he's so scared of that? DD on the other hand, is a great example of 'I'm not just afraid you'll reject me, I KNOW you will, so I'll just reject you first, and then the rejection was all MY decision, and then I'm in control of it' I'm not sure if it's any better, although sometimes outward aggression can be easier to deal with..
