School admissions - Some great news!

Very glad I decided to take a peek at AUK boards today

It's the governments draft of school admissions changes

If you look down to 1.7 in the draft, under 'oversubscription criteria' they are proposing adoptees are given the same priority in admissions as LAC are !!!!! Finally, this petition signing etc seems to have worked. They actually took notice!

Thank you soooo much for sharing such positive news! This is amazing news and will make so much difference to our children if it goes through.

oh thats really good news - I hope it stays in past the draft stage

Anyone know if this is just for primary schools or will it still be that they get priority when they get to junior/secondary age?

My sister had to fight like buggery to get her two adopted boys (siblings) into the same primary. She physically wouldn't have been able to be in two places at once anyway, and the boys would have disintegrated without each other.
