Hi ladies, as title says my dear friend has just adopted a little boy (3yo) and I would like to get her/him a present - something special - any ideas gratefully received.
TIA X

A beautiful photo album to put photos of their new family in? Photo frame? Memory box?

Fingerprint necklace for her?

How wonderful! Congratulation to your friend!

A silver goblet with his name engraved? on the same theme, a spoon, a cutlery set...a bit expensive, but lasts forever.

Or, really nice also, have a plate laminated with a drawing from your DCs, his name, a message.

If your friend has a garden and a tree big enough to put a swing on, a wooden swing with his name engraved.

ok, enough with the engraving, some really sweet bedlinen?

Love the swing idea but they live in a flat!
Am off to google ideas - thanks ladies - keep the ideas coming!!!

Oh, and for your friend, a charm bracelet with little medallions bearing the name of her most important persons?

AlCrowley's idea is lovely.

Have a look at notonthehighstreet

As the mum of three children who have been with us for a year, actually the best thing would be some of your time! Although she will be ecstatic to be a mum the reality is that within a couple of weeks (hours) she will need a break - so offer her three 2 hour vouchers to take her new son to the park or zoo or walk round the block, or trip to town for a milkshake.

She may talk about attachment or funnelling, but actually she will need (but not may yet understand fully, her need) to have at least one hour to herself!

Above all, your friendship and continuing support (make a separate voucher for that - expiry date "Never'!!!) are the best gifts you can give her.

What a nice friend!

GTW, LOVELY idea but we live over 200 miles apart! Am not going to visit them until October/November to give them all time to adjust etc
Got me thinking though . . .
