A new UK Parliament petition has just been published for the UK to rejoin the European University Institute Convention - since the UK left in 2022, UK citizens have been unable to apply to study for funded PhDs at the European University Institute in Florence, and support staff positions and traineeship roles there also seem to be reserved for only nationals of member states. It would be great to get access to this back, and it should be possible to negotiate at least Associate Membership status for the UK, as Norway and Switzerland have already done, neither of whom are EU members.
