For anyone who has watched the first part of ‘You’ series 4, why didn’t Joe just leave the moment the body was planted on the table in his flat? I can’t understand how he has got himself into the position that he is so involved. Have I missed something?

You appear to have missed that this is a TV show and would be pretty boring if nothing happened

Because then the whole series would be absolutely pointless.
I wish he had left at that point, as it would've saved me the bother of watching the rest of the episodes to see if it improved (it didn't, it was utter bilge)

I can’t say I disagree. I can’t get past the fact that he has no need to be there and he’s ‘supposedly’ an intelligent guy - so why stick around. It’s not what it once was….

I agree @Minikievs !

Joe is supposed to be dead and is living with a faked up identity. I guess he just didn't want to be investiagetd too thoroughly. Silly, as he was known to be the last person to see the victim alive. Very silly plot device to have the assassin want to quit and give him the new identity in exchange for dosh ( why not just take the dosh and kill Joe?). It's really bad now - part 2 is out today but I don't think I can be bothered.
