What funny Halloween outfits did you see this weekend?

I live in a cost market town with a uni. The “kids” made a real effort but the outfits were a bit odd - dinosaur skeletons, chickens, pirates, a banana. Not Halloween-y at all. A bunch were dressed as traffic cones.

DD and her mate went out dressed as a Playboy bunny and Hugh Heffner. I know this might annoy some, but it was really funny and they are old enough to do what they want, and they did look great. Ironically, they are two super smart and beautiful girls, that was really out of character which made it even funnier.

Inflatable unicorn anyone?

LadyLindaT · 01/11/2026 22:04

My daughter was a bit concerned about the small child dressed as Pennywise, complete with balloon...

Cost = cosy

I had a few knockers last night, one was an inflatable shark, a banana, a boy on inflatable horse, an angel with light up halo, and King Charles mask

I dressed as Samantha Jones post facial peel. Bonded with SATC fans who ‘got’ the outfit, and that’s what Halloween is all about. 😁

We had a small clown in a crocheted outfit, complete with a crazy crocheted wig

I saw an inflatable minion walking through Sainsbury's car park, which made me smile.

Hugh Heffner the rapist, and a playboy bunny as one of the women he'd most likely raped?
That's far from funny

We had a tiny Donald Trump at the door. It was the only costume I noticed particularly, it made me laugh.

SabrinaThwaite · 01/11/2026 22:45

Somebody in an inflatable chicken was sat outside the corner shop for a while.

Was a bit surreal.

Nameshavebeenchangedtoprotect · 01/11/2026 22:52

Giant inflatable baby round our way. And a jellyfish.

LaMadrilena · 01/11/2026 22:56

I saw the girl from the Exorcist, complete with bed! Also a boy carrying his own head on a tray.

BessieSurtees · 01/11/2026 23:06

Why was it funnier because they are super smart and beautiful? Genuine Question.

We had some fab outfits at our door, some actually spooked me a bit but the funniest were those inflatable ones where you can't work out where the person is on first sight. We had a couple of alien ones but I took a double take at the grim reaper one.

Butteredtoast55 · 01/11/2026 23:18

The inflatables this year were great. I especially enjoyed helping the big inflatable T-rexes who were struggling to pick up treats with their tiny hands 😁

I'd question them being super smart if that was their choice of Halloween costume.
Super smart people tend not to find rape funny.

My son slayed Halloween this year. He dressed as Gloria the Hippo from Madagascar complete with tutu and bikini top, on Friday night. His housemates dressed as Alex the Lion, Marty, and King Julian. Last night, he dressed as the fairy godmother from Shrek 2. Complete with full face of makeup, red dress, heart shaped glasses, wings, and wand. He was the top earner in the bar where he works, took over 4k.😁

I was driving home about 10.30 Halloween night through very foggy country lanes when I saw Jesus standing at the side of the road! Not doing anything in particular, just standing there. Was quite surreal
