When do/did you declutter all baby items?

I have a DS8. I thought I’d have another but life didn’t pan out to include another child.

I’m decluttering and there’s a whole load of baby things that has remained in boxes - books, toys, clothes, sleeping bags etc from when he was a baby.

Did you get rid of everything? Some things? When did you decide to get rid?

What did you keep and how much of it is there?

I feel like I should keep some things for the future like if my DS decides to have children but that seems years away - do I hold on to it for another 20 years?

I thought we were one and done after DD (9) so pretty much donated/gifted/threw stuff as we went along. I kept some bits and pieces that have sentimental value to us.

Now expecting another baby so having to buy everything all over again 😅

After our last child I got rid of stuff as soon as it was finished with - it meant I was selling or giving away stuff that was still desirable/the latest brand rather than stuff that had sat in a cupboard. I sold clothes etc on Vinted (still do) as soon as they are not needed. everyone is different tho and I was able to do this because I knew it was my last child.

I haven’t kept anything unless the kids asked to keep it. I kept books from my childhood to give to mine but it was pointless. They are horrifyingly sexist and outdated and they smell bad.
