Party games for 5-12 year olds

Hi! Any ideas for party games for a group of this age range? It's a tricky range, but they're lovely kids and the older ones will join in for a bit if only out of politeness! About 8 children. It's been a looong time since I organised party games for anyone under about 20, and I'd love some ideas that are a bit more original than pass the parcel and musical statues!

How about a party treasure hunt, the older ones can lead the teams with the little ones.

You could do a quiz (with two teams of four so no one person comes last). You could throw in some questions about CBeebies characters that the younger ones will be likely to get, or have some questions that have to be answered by a team member under a certain age so that it's not just the older ones answering all the questions.

Pass the parcel. EVERYONE loves pass the parcel, doesn’t matter how old they are!

I love a treasure hunt but don't really know what the space is like and I won't see it till the day so I'll have to have a think how I can organise it.
