Mazda 3 or Mini

I am about to move into rented accommodation and currently have an EV which I've been charging at home. I don't think I'll be able to install one at the rented property as we only plan to be there about a year.
I whf but do have to travel on some 2/3 hour journeys probably about 2/3 times a month.
I am taxi driver to 17,15 and 13 y/o and eldest is planning to start driving soon.
We don't go out together much nowadays as they all have their own interests and friends.
I had a Maxda cx30 before and quite liked it but am thinking I may not really need a crossover anymore as there is rarely more thsn 2 of us in the car at one time.
I like the look of the Mazda 3 but after watching vids, the back seat looks very squished.
I was also thinking about a mini 5 door or clubman but not sure if 2 teens would fit in the back there either.

Any thoughts on these 2 cars?

I have a 2019 Clubman. It will happily seat 4 adults with room to spare.

I absolutely love Mazdas. We have one that is 20 years old and has never had a thing wrong with it. My parents have both a 6 and a 3, which they’ve had for over a decade and again, never had a problem. Wonderful reliable cars.

On your specific point, there is stacks of room in the back of my parents’ Mazda 3. Easily fits 5 adults. It’s an older model so I can’t speak for the current ones, but just go to a Mazda dealership and sit in one?

Thank you. I just like the design of Mazda 3. I think it's nicer than the CX30. I have a dealership nearby so think I will take a look.
A little worried about the repair costs of minis which I hear can be quite high.
