Road rage guy and stereotypes

When do guys grow out of road rage?

Today I was driving along a shopping street uphill with a fair few cars parked on the other side, a 4x4 coming down the hill and a guy trying to park on the other side in a gap. The 4x4 was driven by a man whose description I'll not give out. He'd stopped, and as there was plenty of space I continued uphill. He went nuts, banging on his steering wheel and dashboard with the most angry expression on his face. The first thing that popped into my head was gammon. I hate stereotypes and name calling but that's what I thought. He was fizzing with anger and I thought he'd have a fit.

I don't think they grow out of it.

I think it gets worse with age

Exactly this.

I get a lot of satisfaction when knowing that many of these angry men have such high blood pressure as they age that they're only one tantrum away from a heart attack. It's not nice of me, but I don't care.

Sorry, I meant to quote @Portmore there.

Do they grow out of it? I don't think some men ever do.

Today, there was a gun metal grey Maserati driving through our very rural and muddy village, doing about 60 in a 30 zone,. Making a horrendous noise. Got arsy because he had to brake and slow for 5 seconds before he could pass me running on the road (no footpath).

Twenty minutes later, same car, coming back the other way, driver having a fizz trying to overtake a tractor.

Nice car. Total idiot of a driver. He wasn't a teenager, just behaved like one.

Spend their lives angry behind the wheel. They hate cyclists, other drivers esp women, anyone who doesn't drive at/above the speed limit. Basically anything/everything/everyone they believe is impeding their journey. Don't engage with them.

Sadly they are not deemed mentally unfit to hold a driver’s licence. Which is what should be the case.

My parents are in their 80s and they still have the same basic personality they've always had. My dad is pleasant and mild mannered, my mum is a jekyll and Hyde with a nasty bullying side and a sweet, charming side when it suits her. So people probably never grow out of it.
