Gift for my university twins

Hi all, my twins (girl and boy) have just started university in Edinburgh and it's their birthday coming up.

I'd love to send them a nice thoughtful gift each. Has anyone found any good gifting services to send them a few things each packaged nicely?

Curious to know what other parents do for sending their kids gifts while they're at uni.

Any help appreciated!!!!

I’d just send them cash for a night out. That’s what I would have appreciated as a student.

If you want to send an actual gift, I’ve had a few people send me a box of Gimmee Brownies, which are based in Scotland. Maybe even in Edinburgh? I forget.

They are the nicest brownies I’ve eaten in my life. They do lots of GF, nut free, etc options.

Can you get a voucher for a restaurant that they both like. If not cash for a night out as already suggested would no doubt be appreciated.

Give them cash or transfer money to their accounts. If you want to, send them a nice big tub of Haribos and a bottle of Grey Goose.

Cash, or vouchers for eg Amazon so they can buy what they want? It does seem a bit mercenary but anything sent by a “gift company” risks being ignored and being a waste of money.

If you really want to send them something - how about something for the cold, wet Scottish winter? But you’d have to be absolutely certain that what you like is also what’s “the thing” for 20ish year olds this year.
