Best tea in bed set-up with tray etc

[lighthearted]

I like to get up early and read a bit in bed before work in an attempt to "romanticise my life" more.

I am finding if I take a teapot to bed the tea gets stewed, plus I have to get up for more milk etc.

I am not dong this right! I don't want an industrial steel hot water pot but maybe I need this?

Can people share their best (aesthetic) set ups? And best tray?

I don't have a bed tray with legs (any recommendations gratefully received), but I use a teapot with an inbuilt strainer, a very small saucer, onto which I put the tea-filled strainer once the tea is suitably brewed, plus milk jug, teacup, and spoon, and a tea cosy on the teapot. It's quite the collection but means you don't have to move at all, and I do find it fits easily onto a standard sized tray and I can even squeeze it onto my small tray.

Editing: sorry, I use a large "stump" teapot. I tend to go mismatched so not sure if I will be much help on the aesthetics front but I can get quite a cute mismatched arrangement with that lot.

A husband who gets upset earlier than me, empties the dishwasher and brings me my favourite giant mug of tea in bed ! Perfect!

If you get a stainless steel insulated tea pot the tea should stay warm enough to have another cup. And you need a lovely milk jug.

We have a one cup kettle, flask of milk and pot of teabags on my bedside table. It's a big old cold house and the kitchen is quite a long way from the bedroom. I never get up until I have had my tea.

Thanks all. Stainless steel tea pot may be the answer…
