Thinking of Christmas. They dont know what they want, im finding it a tricky in between sort of age to buy for. Don't need any electronics.

I was thinking if a watch, like a fitbit or similar
Doesnt need to be "smart" or have calling /messaging caoability. Just time, steps, that sort of thing possibly mapping cycle journeys. Under £100 preferably.

Ive seen some that look a bit babyish though.

Grateful for suggestions!

Do they have a phone? I ask because I really like my Samsung Fit3 which isn't a smart watch and is nice and cheap, but it works with integrating with your phone eg it doesn't have gps of its own, it uses your phone's.

The thought of an 11 year old tracking their ‘fitness’ makes me feel sad. They should just be running around being busy because it’s a normal part of being 11!

How about an experience -
zoo keeper for the day,
UK ‘safari’ in a safari park with an overnight stay,
day out at a theme park,
climbing wall classes,
new trainers
new kit for his bike if he likes cycling…….

So many other options than a gadget for tracking steps and turning something fun and natural into a chore/source of stress if he does less than usual any given day……..

@KindlySurfiingPlatypus they do, not a samsung although mine is. Theres is pretty basic. Thank you thouhh, I will check it out.

@Cruftsrecommended my point was more that I don't want a smart watch, but they would like to be able to map their routes when we walk, or cycle. We do plenty of experiences and outings. They're not bothered by trainers or that sort of thing.
