Thinking of taking DS this week, we've done a lot of the London classics to death and this looks good but not sure if I'm being deceived by social media. Has anyone actually been? DS is almost 8 and very interested in history. Yes we've done natural history museum, v&a, young v&a, IWM, Greenwich, transport museum, the Tates, cutty sark, HMS belfast etc. Just looking at something a bit different but not sure this is worth the schlep out to custom house

I’ve not been there, so am also interested.

I just recently heard about All Hallows church by the Tower of London. Apparently it has an excellent little museum of London History in its crypt. It’s on my list.

Have you been to The Old Operating Theatre? We thought it was amazing. My youngest was perhaps a little older than your dc, maybe 9 or 10.

We did this over the summer and loved it. I’ve got 2 DSs, 10 and 14. It’s really impressive. I would defo recommend. Go early so there are fewer people. I think we had the first slot of the day and it seemed a lot busier when we left. I can’t think it would be as impressive with a lot of people in each session.

We did (kids 10 and 11). It was great though it's over in under an hour which is a shame especially for the price. We've been to other immersive type things which last a few hours at least. So just plan to do other stuff in the area before or after, as it won't fill a day

If you're looking for stuff in London I'd recommend getting the 'Fever' app which always has a lot of these immersive-type things on it. We've done immersive Dali, immersive titanic, immersive dinosaurs, immersive Tutenkamun... always good for a rainy weekend

Thanks everyone, we've booked to go tomorrow!
