Cleaning tips!

We are about to move house and I would love to hear what routines or general cleaning tips people do to make the house easier to manage.
A few of my own:
Wash a different persons clothes each time rather than a selection of everyones. That way, it all gets put away in one room rather than going through and separating it all.
Give sinks and toilets a quick wipe every morning so it doesn't build up to a big task.
One I will be starting when we move is to get everyone to help with a 10 minute tidy after tea each night to keep the main living areas tidy.

What tips can you share?

Washing one person’s laundry at a time doesn’t sound very efficient. What if there isn’t enough to make a load? Do you mix dark and light coloured items? It not exactly hard work to sort who the laundry belongs too.
I suggest keeping a box in the hall to pop things in so you’re not making as many trips upstairs, unless you want more exercise.

We don't have many light clothes so they all go in one wash once a week. It actually is the difference between clothes being put immediatley away and them staying in a pile downstairs in this house!
