Alternative to Grimms rainbows?

As they are sold out, and I really don’t want Temu poison, anyone know any reputable sellers for people imitating them? I don’t want to risk a second hand eBay one that is just a temu knock off and lots of sellers on Etsy, but would want one that was the similar safe wood and toxic water child safe paints. But don’t know how to ensure that.

There used to be a FB group specially for pre loved Grimms toys, that would be more reliable than eBay I reckon.

Are they sold out everywhere? They'll be restocked soon surely. Very worth it IMO, we've still got ours (bought in 2010) and despite being on a sunny windowsill for at least the last 5 years it's not faded at all.

I followed lots of stockists on Instagram and managed to get one because one of them advertised a restock happening at 6pm the next day. I had the same issue, I really wanted one with the wood grain feel rather than the plasticky type feel and was always seeing knock-offs being sold for extortionate prices.

Thanks, I was wary of the second hand groups just having people selling temu knock offs too.

I really want a rainbow and semi circles to make a tower etc for him as I think that’s the only way to try and get him playing

Tors Story is very good.

Thanks I’ll have a look at tors story

How old is your child?

There's no way a rainbow is the only way to get a kid playing (says a firmly signed up rainbower).

Agree with PPs - the rainbow is perfectly nice, (we have one), but it’s just a toy. There’s nothing magic about it.

Plenty of other nice wooden toys around that you don’t have to hunt down.

Any suggestions? I have lots of other toys I think I just want this as much for me as him 😂

Tors Story is very good.

Tors story seems to have no ratings on trust pilot? So wondering if it’s a new cheap store and can’t see where they say it’s made/if it’s safe paint for kids etc or temu shipped in

There's a genuine one on vinted at the moment.
Grimms has supply issues at the moment, babipur seems to be having real issues with getting a "full order". Loads sold out on their last drop.
I'd love a LSP for mine, they're 6 and 8 and play with them so much, but im never around or free when they're put online so I doubt it'll happen 😄

If its just open ended wooden toys you're after, the good shepherd has loads of really gorgeous toys. Just a bit too spendy for me.

It definitely isn’t temu shipped in, I think it’s just a small business. I have both Grimms and TS (different sizes) and they’re indistinguishable to me.

There are Grimms on Vinted but they usually look really scuffed and have a huge mark up.
