If you hold emergency cash, how much?

I hardly use cash now, but I so usually have an emergency £20 on me and a small amount of cash in the house, c.£100.

It occurs to me that in a dire emergency, that wouldn't go very far, but I don't want to be someone with £1000s under the matress.

20 to 30.

At the moment it's £350 but want to get it up to £500, and it's stashed away in the house. Also carry £50 in tens and fives in my purse after I did a massive shop at the local market and their card facility went down and I had to run to the cash machine.
