Anyone else having multiple power cuts?

Over the past couple of weeks we have had around 6 or 7 power cuts. Most short lived,.15 mins or so but on Thursday we had one from 2am to 10am and last night we had one from 7pm ish to about 9pm.

Is this just our area or is it fairly widespread?! We are in East Anglia.

And yes I am aware of all the power shortage news and having 3 days worth of supplies in etc etc, but I'd love to know how widespread this is!

5 power cuts here today. Midnight to 10.30 am and then cuts of approx 1hour at a time.

But NE and experienced storm Boleo overnight.

Our old neighbour had this and after 3 weeks of investigations found out it was their next door neighbour plugging an extension lead in and practically running their house off it as they had not paid bill and was cut off

We’re in North Yorkshire and although we haven’t had any actual cuts ourselves, my mum across town has had 2 short ones in the last two weeks and we’ve had lights flickering countless times within the same time period.

We have them frequently, 22 in the last year! And all last several hours

Yikes! I know its not that anyway as our whole village is getting them, not just us.

We had this for months in our old house. It was fixed when some weather happened and completely broke whatever was half knackered. The whole village had overhead electric cables so power cuts were quite regular, even before this issue.

We are SE London/Kent border and had one last night for about 2 hours and then 3 today (one for 2 hours and then two shorter ones). I was in the middle of cooking a roast!

West of Scotland here, we had a powercut on Tuesday evening, then last night from 01:00.
They "hope" to have us back on by Wednesday!

had loads early this year, but none due to the storm (yet, fingers crossed!) that wind is terrible, peoples bins are taking flight

bababamama · 25/10/2026 21:54

Our town is fed by overhead cables so in very strong winds they can occasionally have issues though we got a new connection 18 months ago which seems to have solved it.

None. Not even a flickery light bulb. E. Mids
