Hi all. Tried finding this online but can’t see the answer… thought I would check before calling around insurance because I’m sure plenty of people have had children learn to drive!
im getting a new car and sorting out insurance on it / cancelling on my current car etc. My partner is thinking about learning to drive- in theory i can SORN it for now then transfer ownership to him.
what im not sure about is learner only insurance - haven’t put him on my new insurance but I can’t seem to see if he can be insured without me/ someone who drives?
appreciate any wisdom! I will obvs be insured in another car but as a learner, I may still need to drive while he’s learning (if he struggles etc).
