Hi, so for the past couple of days I keep seeing on SM that something is kicking off next month, I have googled and it states there's planned uni protests.

Now I'm def not a tin foil hat wearing kind of person but it seems with the gov pushing us to stock up it seems a bit dodgy?

I've also seen a few news reports that a massive cyber attack could happen and will cut off our necessities.

Are they hinting that we will experience what Paris has recently?

What are your thoughts?

Anyone can string together some random facts to make a conspiracy theory.

Time to change your algorithms by watching videos of kittens or drop SM. It's life changing.

I don't want my necessities cut off, it sounds painful.

But I've stocked up the first aid box.

I saw some twat on Instagram today saying there’s going to be a 3 day lockdown coming and we all need to be prepared … and gullible idiots were believing him. I remember the days when you only had to put up with shit like that from Dave down the pub after his 6th pint 🙄

I don't understand why people do this! Make up some bullcrap and spread it on SM. Between them and AI I never know what's real anymore and doubt everything I see and read

@SnapAndFartAllDayLong people do it for attention. They don’t know any more than the rest of us but they like the attention, simple as that. Basically, don’t believe anything like that on social media unless it’s actually coming from a reputable news source or a government official.

Just look at all of the "oh god, what are the government hiding from us?" threads that have appeared over the past week or so. Now you have given all the catastrophists an actual date to focus their anxiety on.

Have to agree with this somewhat. The problem isn’t always the idiots spouting nonsense, it’s those that believe it and carry it on. Nothing is going to happen on the 20th. Do people really think if there was going to be some major cyber attack or something those friendly Russians would give us an actual date?!

I still well remember when Russia invaded Ukraine there were actual people on here predicting we’d all be dead within the week, WW3 had officially started. And yet here we are…

Anyone planning a cyber attack isn’t going to give advanced warning.
