Cars!

Ive spend ages watching YouTube on car videos.
I currently lease a tucson. It goes back soon. Ive had a pcp and lease for years but now thinking ig getting a bank loan. Ive had all yhe usual Korean suvs and they were all fine. Nothing to complain about. Lots of tech for money.
Looking at bank loans and actually buying one. Itll need to be a 3 year old one. I like the idea of lexus nx350, rav4 ( although a bit more spit and sawdust) or a sportage.
If like my loan to end within 4 years and budget 450 a month. Id look at monthly servicing costs. I wfh a lot.
I have two previous teens and a dog. Occasionally a long drove but I only did 9k miles last year. Would also prefer a general hybrid not a plug in due to repair bills when they go wrong

If appreciate any knowledgeable mums who have any of these..or any ive forgotten.
Dont want fully electric or Chinese brands, again due to future repair costs. I plan on keeping thr car as long as possible.
Thanks :)

Forgot to add...need an suv as I often drive my disabled mum around. I did consider an estate but she cant bend down to get in.
I plan to test drive quite a few over the next few weeks but not sure if im missing any

“Previous teens”? Are they now adults then?

ViaRia01 · 25/10/2026 11:00

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads maybe an autocorrect from pre-teens?

More likely precious

Are full electric cars expensive to repair then?

superplumb · 25/10/2026 14:39

Yes electric cars can be expensive to repair, and when the battery goes it can costs thousands. I hope to keep thr car for over 10 years.

Pre teens..not previous teens. Means theyre smallish now but will continue to grow. Hth.
