Vaginal Atrophy in late 50s

I have vaginal atrophy. Had it for many years. I do take vaginal estrogen in pessary form. I'm on my third UTI. I have bouts of flare ups where it feels I have the urge to go to the loo but little but comes out. Slightly burning down below also. I was given antibiotics 2 weeks ago. But I still have problems. Saw Dr Fri, I've been given another 3 day course ( different ones). It's making me feel miserable. I have also bought YES to help as supposed to be a good moisturiser. Still uncomfortable. Anyone got any suggestions. Don't feel like exercising and feel very fed up woth it all.

Sorry to read this, it sounds miserable 😞

I work In a hospital and have done some work with urology (on the admin side) and the nurses often used to say to patients about having a bath in Badedas (I remember someone buying me a big bottle when I was pregnant!!) as it’s a natural healer. I wonder if that would be soothing? No harm in trying.

This is probably useless information relative to the issue but posting it anyway in case it helps. I stopped using biological washing powder decades ago as it always made me feel like had UTI, was hideous. Went away when I stopped. Just suggesting in case somethint that wasn’t an issue before has become one for you now.

No advice, I'm afraid, but you may get more detailed help if you ask MN to move this to the Menopause board.
Good luck xx

Do you use a pessary every day, or 2-3 times a week, sometimes you need a daily dose.
