I hate flying and I am going to Morocco tomorrow.

Please send me calming messages because I am going to be too nervous to sleep. This holiday is going to be an amazing adventure for my family, we haven’t ventured out of Europe before. I just need to get through the flight. I hate it so much.

As soon as you get through the clouds you’ll be OK. I’d rather be taking off than landing in this weather. I looked up the weather forecast for Marrakesh and it’s 29 degrees with a wind of 2mph. Slower than a fart. So have a lovely holiday!

Morroco is amazing. Enjoy.

Thank you! I’m on the train trying to stay chilled so my kids don’t know how scared I am!

Stay tuned in and I’ll be with you until you take off.

I hate flying. I lost my nerve after flying out of Hong Kong into a tropical cyclone. It took half an hour of flying time before the cabin crew were allowed to leave their seats.

This is my bench mark. As soon as the crew start wandering around then you know you’re OK.

Turbulence is air. It’s like flying on a bumpy road. Another thing I did to test this theory is I took a glass of water with me AS A PASSENGER on a car journey and, of course, the bumpy journey made sure that the water spilled all over me. So in the flight and get yourself a drink and look at the ripples when you get some turbulence, then compare that to how that would compare to being in a car.

Are you at the airport yet? What time is your flight?

You’ll be grand and have an amazing time. I hate flying too and just think of it as a bumpy road if it’s a little bumpy. A friend of mine also said turbulence is just like a sheet of paper in jelly, it might wobble a little but it’s not going anywhere, and I actually really liked that and feel much calmer when I fly now. Plus, all the crew want to get home for tea and to their loved ones too.
Enjoy Morocco, it’ll be fabulous ☺️

Thank you. I’m at the gate now, considering a glass of wine to help, but I know It will make me feel worse.

I saw someone set a tiny aeroplane into a big glass bowl of jelly. They shook it around to show how it’ll just stay in the air because of air pressure, even if it’s rough. That helped a lot.

Have a good flight @Thingsthatgo ! Think of the cocktail list for tonight! 🍹🍸

I am in Morocco at the moment. The flight is worth it! It has been an amazing week, albeit a lot more tourists than the last time I visited.

We are leaving for our return flight shortly, wondering if we are waiting for you to arrive, so we can get on the same plane!

I can feel your trepidation as I really hate flying, but still do it. The country has to be worth it for me. France and Spain: I love the ferry, big fry up or lovely meal on Brittany Ferries, plus cabin even on a day sailing.

Mediterranean/Canary islands or further will fly but hate it and will not, under any circumstances, do early morning flight.
