Do icu beds normally have curtains I’ve just seen someone push an icu with a curtain I always thoughtr beds in icu were in rooms?

I suspect it varies by hospital

When my DS was in PICU at St Mary's in Paddington there were four beds in the bay and each bed had a curtain. I imagine it varies from hospital to hospital.

In our hospital we have some individual rooms usually for the more poorly patients and some bays of 4 aswell with curtains round but it will depend on each hospital how the ICU is laid out and whether it’s an older
hospital or a newer unit.

Most curtained cubicles and a couple of individual rooms in ours.
Mostly curtains are pulled back to monitor the patients unless they are being examined.

What do you mean ‘push an icu’?

My DW son died on a ward curtains drawn when life support was switched off.

I’m sorry just curtains feels very invasive and not really allowing family to grieve in their own space

Something happened I've never saw before.when switched off
He sat up,arms stretched out ,hands opened then clenched and lay back down.
After that we came out and then went back in.dw ex sil was running the show so her and DW ex,mil went first.
DW,her sister went last.
After the funeral the ex husband came up to me and started going on about a life insurance policy.
I had to tell him it wasn't the time nor place
meanwhile my wife was hunched over a table sobbing.
I had to bite my tongue so many time through out it all.
