Looking different and how you're treated

It's been three years since I had a breast cancer diagnosis (all good now). I'm a gym-goer and it struck me today how differently people treat you when you're weak. I returned to the gym after I finished my chemo and radio, my hair was just starting to grow back and I remember two really horrible experiences with women there.

I saw them both today and they clearly didn't remember me from two years ago, they were both smiley and friendly. Funny how long blonde hair makes you a different person 🤬

Oh it must have been so tempting to give them a reminder.
You're worth 100 x more than them.
Most would see before by the grace of god and have silent empathy for you and then there are some ignorant gits in this world.
Wishing you the best for the future.
