I always have lamb sagwalla, lemon rice, a peshwari nan and 2 popadoms. It does me for tea tonight and lunch tomorrow.

Chicken tikka, tarka daal, rice and a big pile of poppadoms. Add yoghurt and pickles at home

Almahart · 24/10/2026 13:26

Maybe a naan too

DoAWheelie · 24/10/2026 13:36

I always get two portions of Bombay potatoes (one goes in the fridge to be air fried for breakfast the next morning).

I'll then have the other potatoes with a starter, sometimes pakoras, garlic chicken, lamp chops etc.

Then the main will be lamb korma or a lamb pasanda with 2-3 poppadoms to dip in it. I'm not a fan of rice so I don't get any and have the potatoes instead.

Sometimes if I can't choose between two starters I'll get both and throw on a naan bread - I won't finish the curry if I have both so I'll keep the leftovers and reheat for lunch with naan to dip in it.

Try the fish. Fish works well with most curries. Not prawns as they get lost in Indian.

I always have a prawn puri - food of the gods! Then I'd probably have a special biryani with a madras sauce on the side, spicy but not too hot. Maybe some saag aloo as well!

👏 👏 👏 Absolute perfection. I'm scrapping my planned dinner and ordering this.

I’m not veggie but my go to is Panner Shashlik, saag bhajee, chana masala and a paratha. No rice thanks!

DilemmaDelilah · 25/10/2026 08:51

I love curry but only if it's mild.

I usually go for a passanda or butter chicken, occasionally a murgh masala, with a plain naan, it usually comes with rice, I like a couple of poppadoms with onion salad and mint sauce, and an onion bhajee or two..that will do me for my main meal in the evening and lunch the next day.

DilemmaDelilah · 25/10/2026 08:54

Most of the suggestions on here are too hot for me (don't judge!) and I prefer my chicken un-tikkaed, so I always choose something that does not include tikkaed chicken, or where there is a choice.

It's only just after breakfast and now I really fancy a curry! I have a home-made veggie curry in the freezer but that's not the same thing at all!
