Have I just invented what the cool kids call, a “hack”?

Title is tongue-in-cheek before anyone starts.

I’m travelling for work currently. Corporate event with a casual dress code and lots of time on my feet, so I arrived in trainers yesterday, and wanted to wear them again today.

Realised last night that they were a little bit whiffy after the day (got wet earlier in the day due to bad weather and I didn’t have anything else with me to change into), and I’m in a hotel room so no way of washing them properly, or drying them.

Had limited items available so I decided to try some dry shampoo. Just the common powdery Batiste brand. Liberal spray and left them sitting overnight, and it’s worked really well. They smell really fresh this morning. Will give them a proper wash at home when I get back, but for a quick refresh, it’s worked really well.

That was my first thought! I’m going to give it a try…

That’s exactly what they smell like 🤢. I sprayed some Batiste into them a few hours ago and popped them outside to air. I can report that they smell slightly better than they did this morning!

That one trick that Big OdourEater doesn't want you to know about.

I've heard (never tried) that cat litter works quite well on stinky boy shoes. You are supposed to pour some into tights, tie off so they are like a dumpy fat sausage, and shove into the shoe overnight. At a push you could use socks but tights are thinner.

Get it on TikTok before a kool kid claims they invented it!
